Tastemakr was conceived in response to a lack of channels empowering independent food makers to sell direct to consumers, and consumers to discover quality food and drink from independent food makers.While at a food and culture festival in 2014, Anthony O-Thomas, founder of Tastemakr observed the frustration and how difficult it was for both parties."On one side, it's a make or break for these food entrepreneurs and makers to strike a deal with these large retail stores. On the other hand there are very few places you know where you can get handmade almond peanut butter unless you know the person who makes it" - Anthony.
Tastemakr is building a curated common marketplace that brings access, transparency and discovery between quality independent food and drink, artisans, makers and consumers of food.

Tastemakr 24x24 is the online summer pop up from Tastemakr featuring one maker and their products every 24 hours for 24 days. The public have 24 hours each day to get their hands on small batch runs from London's most exciting new and emerging independent artisans and makers.
Tastemakr's online marketplace is taking shape behind the scenes, taking a slow cook approach to development and tactfully crafting an online destination for independent food, drink and food culture.
